Sermon: “The Forgotten God: The Work of the Holy Spirit in You"
Rev. Kurt Holm delivers the message “The Forgotten God: The Work of the Holy Spirit in You" with music from Kathleen Sieck and the music team.
Scripture
John 14:16-20
Jesus said: “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.”
Holy Spirit … the Forgotten God
We may as well face it. The whole level of spirituality among us is low. We have measured ourselves by ourselves until the incentive to seek higher plateaus in the things of the Spirit is all but gone…. We have imitated the world, sought popular favor, manufactured delights to substitute for the joy of the Lord and produced a cheap and synthetic power to substitute for the empower of the Holy Ghost.
